BOOSTFLO COMBINATION PRESSURE BOOSTER SYSTEMS AUTOMATICALLY MAINTAIN THE WATER
SUPPLY IN BUILDINGS, WHILST CONTROLLED ACCORDING TO SYSTEM DEMAND.
Factory assembled,
base-mounted combination booster systems, pre-piped ready
for site installation, with single duty pump or multi
pumps arranged to operate automatically, as duty and standby
or in sequence, - controlled according to demand.
Integral controller for automatic pump control, with optional
outgoing voltage free terminals for Building Management.
Generally incorporating interlocked mains isolator, and
auto-off-test switches. Power-on and control
circuit fuse failed lamps. Triple pole fused supplies
and contactors with thermal overload and single phasing
protection. Run and trip lamps
for each pump. Outgoing terminals for low water protection.
Auto changeover starts the standby pump in the event of
the selected pump failing on overload. Enhanced custom
controls are optional.
Intermittent run systems, pressure controlled,
with diaphragm cushion vessel and minimum run timer to
control the pump running cycle.
Optional, full-size diaphragm vessels sized to economically
control the frequency of pump starts and maintain the
operating pressure differential within preset limits.
Transfer systems including - pumping to cisterns
controlled by level switches or probes, and - drinking
water header applications controlled by pipeline level
switch.
Fire hose reel pumpsets, in compliance with
British Standard code of practice BS5306 part 1, automatically
maintain the water supply pressure to hose reel installations.
Duty and standby pumps are arranged to operate in sequence-support,
with outgoing terminals for remote indication in the event
of pump operation. Optional overhead suction
tank, capacity 1125 litres, in accordance with BS5306
part 1.
Wet riser pumping systems, in compliance with
BS5306 part 1, automatically maintain the water supply
pressure to wet rising main installations. The rising
main pressure is maintained by a jockey pump
controlled by pressure switch, buffer vessel and minimum
run timer. In accordance with site power supply arrangements
duty and standby electric driven, or standby diesel engine
driven pumpsets are arranged to operate in sequence. The
duty pump will run, whilst the system requires in excess
of a pre-determined minimum flow rate. Outgoing terminals
are included for a remote alarm.
Copper pipework to BS2871 Table x or other pipework options.
Energy efficient - Variable speed systems - Substantial
savings in running costs are offered by Boostflo Inverter
Drive, variable flow-constant pressure systems.The
system set-pressure is maintained within close limits,
whilst the duty pump speed automatically modulates to
suit variations in the system flow requirements. Increased
system demand will start a second and third pump (if fitted)
in support. To share the duty pump running times automatic
pump sequence is included.Soft starting and stopping of
the duty pump, during wake and sleep
control, eliminates pressure surges and energy wasting
closed valve running.
